Good news: on an Octopus Oman scuba diving trip from Muscat, the scuba equipment, life jackets, permit fees and refreshments are all included. You only need to bring a few personal items.
Use this checklist to pack the night before, and read the tips at the end, especially if you are flying soon after your dive.
What Is Provided on the Boat

- Life jackets
- Guided dives with general and dive-site briefings
- Daymaniyat Islands permit fees

The Night Before and Morning of Your Dive
- Sleep well and avoid alcohol the night before.
- Eat a light breakfast before you leave.
- Drink water in the morning; the Muscat heat dehydrates you quickly.
- Arrive at Seeb Port a little before 8:00 AM to complete the arrangements before the briefing.
- Tell our team about any health issues, recent illness or medication before the boat leaves.
After Your Dive: Flying and Rest
If you are flying out of Muscat soon after your trip, plan your dive day carefully. Widely used guidance from Divers Alert Network (DAN) recommends waiting at least 12 hours before flying after a single no-decompression dive, and at least 18 hours after multiple dives or multiple days of diving. Many divers simply leave a full 24 hours.
After the dive, rehydrate, rest in the shade and avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day.
